The 2015 Kentucky Derby Trail on TV

Posted on 1 min read 33 views

The Derby Trail is winding down. On Saturday, April 12, Fox Sports 1 will run the Arkansas Derby and the Lexington Stakes starting at 4:30 pm EDT.

As always, check your local listings.  FWIW, much of what I’ve seen on the internet is incorrect, written in the early weeks of the year before racing schedules were firmed up.

The Arkansas Derby is of particular note and much anticipated because early Derby favorite American Pharoah is scheduled to run.

In other news, how do you like our new “paint job?” We’re still “moving furniture.” Some features of the new layout still elude me, but I’m working on them with Denise Alicea of Moons Stardust Designs when DIY turns into OMG.

Source material for this post from the Kentucky Derby website and my cable channel guide (you think I’m joking.)

Brace yourselves for remodeling

dreamstime_WillierossinRecently, I received an email warning from Mr. Google that this website isn’t mobile friendly.

This site is difficult to use on a cellphone, Google said. The print shows up as tiny, the links are too close together, problems were found all over the blog in 307 posts of technically defective material … yadda, yadda, yadda.

We’re back!

Thank you for your patience! 🙂 You may have noticed – or not, and that’s okay, too – we’ve been gone since right before the year-end holidays.

What the heck happened?

My access to write and post articles here to The Horsey Set Net crashed. (To you WordPressers, I couldn’t access my dashboard.)

For readers, nothing was amiss. You could search and read the blog and have no idea, except the dateline on that previous post, that something was amiss.

I couldn’t figure out what went wrong. I tried to repair it, but the problem was way over my head, basically deep in the wiring of the blog.

Even worse? I couldn’t reach any of you loyal readers to tell you we were having technical difficulties.

I sent out hails to my various brain trusts; i.e., writer’s groups.

What’s up here?

You may have noticed I haven’t been posting as often as I was. I’m so grateful to you all for reading and subscribing, so you should know a bit of what’s been going on. Several of my writer pals have stopped blogging. Perhaps you’ve wondered if I stopped, too?

No way.
