The 2015 Kentucky Derby Trail on TV

Posted on 1 min read 36 views

The Derby Trail is winding down. On Saturday, April 12, Fox Sports 1 will run the Arkansas Derby and the Lexington Stakes starting at 4:30 pm EDT.

As always, check your local listings.  FWIW, much of what I’ve seen on the internet is incorrect, written in the early weeks of the year before racing schedules were firmed up.

The Arkansas Derby is of particular note and much anticipated because early Derby favorite American Pharoah is scheduled to run.

In other news, how do you like our new “paint job?” We’re still “moving furniture.” Some features of the new layout still elude me, but I’m working on them with Denise Alicea of Moons Stardust Designs when DIY turns into OMG.

Source material for this post from the Kentucky Derby website and my cable channel guide (you think I’m joking.)

What do you think?

Thanks!…along the same lines, have you heard anything about the Grand National being on US tv or streamed online? Oh, how I’d love to see a proper telecast of it! Are the prep races Saturday or Sunday?

And wow! This place is really shaping up, looks fantastic!

Your site is looking great, Rhonda.

Time seems to fly when I think it’s Derby time again… but I know that’s not how it feels when one is working on a new website!

    Thank you!

Hiya, Fran! The Kentucky Derby prep races are Saturday. I think it’s the last Saturday of preps.

I wish we could get to see the big international races, especially the British races, over here at other venues besides betting websites that demand an account. I do know that mornings at Saratoga have featured the simulcast of British racing our in a section of the Back Yard. Anyway, for TV it would take a sponsor willing to pay for the time … . Wheels are turning …

I’d like to ponder this for a bit. You may have given me an idea for a blog post.

Glad you like the new house and the paint job. It’s a work-in-progress.

Hiya, Susie! Thank you muchly for the compliments on the new digs here.

I know what you mean about the ” how is it suddenly — spring?” feeling. Funny, I thought this winter would NEVER end. The blizzards coming on the heels of each other. The deep bitter cold that lingered. The driveway that needed salting and scraping. But you know what? I, too, am shocked that we’re almost a quarter of the way into the year and Derby is just around the corner.
