Video showing Little Silver Charm enjoying his preferred sport – soccer

Remember the days when celebrities names were attached to golf tournaments?

What used to be the Bob Hope Desert Classic is now the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. Near here, what once was the Sammy Davis Jr. Greater Hartford Open, is now the Travelers Championship.

But unless you were a pro golfer or had the deep pockets to play in the pro-am, regular folks couldn’t tee up in those famous tourneys.

However, in the upcoming Little Silver Charm Miniature Golf Tournament, anyone can play. Plus, you can celebrate the Grand Opening of Old Friends at Cabin Creek, the Bobby Frankel division of Old Friends. Read the rest of the article to see more.

Located in Greenfield Center, NY, just outside of Saratoga Springs, Old Friends at Cabin Creek is like Old Friends in Kentucky – a retirement center for race horses.

And a select few others lucky enough to get in. Like Little Silver Charm.

Here’s a bit of his story, in case you missed him in People magazine in 2008:

Considering LSC’s demanding social schedule, his attendance at the tournament is doubtful.

However, his friend Michael Blowen, the founder of Old Friends and who you see in the video playing soccer with him, is scheduled to appear.

Still, celebrities abound. Jockeys and trainers are slated to participate. And the famous (or infamous?) Zippy Chippy, best known for losing 100 races, is already a resident at Cabin Creek.

The mini golf tourney is not the only part of the Grand Opening celebration. Check out all the activities, posted straight from the Old Friends newsletter, with permission, of course. ;)
