Lots of equestrian action on TV this weekend. After all, it’s Preakness weekend.
HRTV will air action from Pimlico both on Black-Eyed Susan Day (Friday) and Preakness Day. Action on Friday starts at 12:25 pm. On Saturday, HRTV’s Preakness coverage starts at 10:45 am. (If your cable system doesn’t have HRTV, you can watch online for a subscription fee. )
The Preakness itself will be on your local NBC channel starting at 4:30 pm EDT. This page on the Preakness website gives radio broadcast times, too.
And NBC’s broadcast of highlights from April’s Rolex Kentucky starts at 3 pm EDT.
The usual caveats apply. Be sure to check your local listings. You never know when a TV station might up and alter its schedule.
Check this post for more information about Preakness traditions.
If you only stopped by here to find out when to watch the Preakness action, feel free to take a look around. Lots of racing action on this first page, but I don’t just write about racing. So, feel free to click around to other pages on the blog. You – or a horse-crazy loved one – might want to visit more often. Welcome!
