You probably already know that Derby preps aren’t the only thing going on in Kentucky this week.

In Lexington, at the Kentucky Horse Park, is the Rolex Three Day Event.

And you have a couple of options for keeping up with the action online.

Jackie is on-the-ball with all things sport-horse at Regarding Horses, so she’s got a great article that tells you where to get what you need to follow the action at The Rolex.

You have a couple of options. You can pay to watch the live coverage. You’ll need to use Explorer as your browser and have Silverlight installed, just like for the Olympics.

The fee’s pretty reasonable – $12. I’ve paid more to watch less prestigious events streamed online.

Even if you miss a day or two, it’s still a good price. After all, we live in a time in which that’s cheaper than a movie, popcorn and a drink, depending upon when you go to the theater.

And you don’t have to leave your house. Especially if the weather is lousy where you are.

You can also kind of “watch” it via still photos and chat with others in a text chat version.

Again, Jackie has all that info you need. Not to pass the buck or anything.

But why should I send you clicking hither and thither when you can do one-stop shopping?

  1. Hey! Thanks for the links and the plugs on the coverage. It’s amazing how difficult these organizations covering events like this make it to find the video that is available. I searched and searched but only came up with it when somebody Tweeted about it. I’m really loving the live video and the commentary and discussion provided by Horse Radio Network. They are doing a great job!

  2. Without a doubt, Twitter rocks! I get great material from Tweets, too.

And you’re right. These organizations make finding coverage difficult.
