Last week, video of Britain’s Susan Boyle singing and leaving Simon Cowell speechless made the rounds of digital devices around the planet.
This week, my digital obsession is the performance of a lady from California whose talent hasn’t been questioned for a good couple of years now.
Recently, jockey Mike Smith gave us a view of what he sees aboard the impressive thoroughbred champion mareĀ Zenyatta.
Note the wind and the thunder. The whipping mane. The power, the grace and the joy.
Especially the joy.
Watch it again and pay attention to Zenyatta’s ears. She can’t wait to get out there and let fly.
When Mike slows her down, watch her cock that left ear back at him.
This is a race horse who loves to go to work.
The video is every bit as exhilarating as Boyle singing that song from Les Miz. Plus, I don’t have a song stuck in my head after watching this one several times.
Thank you, @raceday360, for the tip via Twitter. And Mike and jonshefs05
