::Ding! Dong!:: It’s not the Avon Lady. Or a Jehovah’s Witness.
It’s another post celebrating the 40th anniversary of Secretariat’s Triple Crown! Let’s check it out. 🙂
When the movie “Secretariat” came out in 2010, Secretariat first visited “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and soon became a running gag. (Yes, as a matter of fact, I am behind the curve. Lovely of y’all to notice. Grateful to writer Jeff Cohen via the Jungle Red Writers for cluing me in.)
Anyway, Secretariat has danced with Salman Rushdie (see the photo that leads off the post at the link) and led a parade of The Eleventh Doctor and The Nerdist to the stage. Secretariat carried actor Kristen Bell to the stage and raced his film counterpart.
Ever hip to developments in popular culture, Secretariat starred in a spoof of “War Horse.”
Good sports who danced with Secretariat received a “Team Secretariat” tee shirt in correct Secretariat blue and white.
Time to put on our boogie shoes. 🙂
